Xbox E3 2019 game trailers: Keanu Reeves, Project Scarlett, Halo Infinite and more
 Xbox kicked off E3 2019 with a bang. Its hour-and-a-half press conference was full of great new games and a couple of exciting new hardware and tech announcements - not least Project Scartlett and the launch of Xbox Game Pass for PC. Oh, and there was Keanu Reeves, of course. We've rounded-up our particular highlights, with trailers where possible, and include the entire media briefing video for you to catch-up on if you like. Enjoy. How to watch the Xbox E3 2019 press conference againYou can catch-up with the Xbox E3 media event on demand right here: It is also available to watch on Microsoft's own video service, Mixer. Xbox at E3 2019: What was launched during the event?There were 60 games launched during the Xbox press briefing, including a few surprises. We've cut them down to our particular highlights and include the biggest news of the show: the next-generation Xbox console. Project Scarlett (Xbox Two)As expected, Xbox boss Phil Spencer teased the company's next games console, revealing its release date in the process. Project Scartlett, as it is codenamed, will be available in time for the holiday season next year. You can read more about it here: Project Scarlett specs, release date and price. Xbox Game Pass for PCXbox Game Pass for PC finally launched after much teasing and rumours. You can sign up to the open beta now to download and play more than 100 games right now, one of which is the amazing Metro Exodus, which has also been added to Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One. Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller Series 2Microsoft has followed-up its great, albeit expensive, pro-standard games controller with a more advanced version coming out in November. The Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is available for pre-order now for £159.99 ($179.99). Project xCloud: Console StreamingWhile it was announced that Microsoft's cloud gaming platform would available for the public to try for the first time at E3 itself, the most intriguing new aspect, for us, is Console Streaming. Console Streaming will effectively turn your own Xbox One into a Project xCloud server for you to access anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection. That means you can play all of your Xbox One games remotely and on any compatible device - not just when you are at home. Cyberpunk 2077 and Keanu ReevesPerhaps the biggest whooping and hollering came after the latest Cyberpunk 2077 trailer. That's because not only did it reveal that Keanu Reeves will star in the game, he was also on hand at the show to reveal the release date: 16 May 2020 (not 2077, luckily). Halo: InfiniteIt was revealed that Halo: Infinite will be a launch game for Project Scarlett at the end of 2020. Let's also hope that the new adventures of Master Chief will be heading to Xbox One too. Gears 5We learned more about the forthcoming Gears 5, including its 10 September release date. As well as the single-player campaign and numerous online multiplayer modes everyone loves, a new mode will be added: Escape. It's a three-player co-op game mode that not only asks players to escape enemy hives, but players can build their own for others to try. Forza Horizons 4 Lego Speed Champions ExpansionWhile there is no new Forza game this year, there is an imminent expansion pack for Horizons 4 that adds Lego to the world. No, really. Minecraft DungeonsA brand-new game set in the world of Minecraft will be coming in time for spring 2020. It'll be an action-RPG with local and online multiplayer co-op and a whole tonne of creepers. Ori and the Will of the WispsWe loved the first Ori game and cannot wait to play the 2D platformer sequel. It was revealed that the game will be out on 11 February 2020 and will immediately hit Xbox Game Pass. Hurrah. Bleeding EdgeWe've been wondering what Ninja Theory's first game under the Xbox Game Studios banner would be. It turns out to be an online 4v4 team multiplayer combat game with some crazy characters. BattletoadsAfter a surprise tease last year, we can now get a feel on how the return of Battletoads is shaping up. It'll be a beat-em up with the emphasis on co-op play, and will have a very cartoon-like feel. Microsoft Flight SimulatorNot only is Flight Simulator coming to Xbox One alongside the traditional PC versions, but it makes a jump to 4K and looks stunning. It'll hit Windows 10 first (as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC in 2020) and will arrive on console at a "later date". Gears Pop!Little did we know that, when Gears Pop! was first announced in conjunction with Funko last year, it'd be a mobile-only game. However, it is coming to iOS and Android soon and you can pre-register your interest in it now. Blair WitchThe developer behind Layers of Fear has created a new survival horror title based on the Blair Witch licence. It looks a bit like Resident Evil 7 to us, which is no bad thing. You'll find out for yourself soon, as it will be available from 30 August. Elden RingOne of the third-party announcements at the event was the forthcoming game co-written by Game of Thrones' George RR Martin and developed by FromSoftware. We're not sure what kind of game it will be, save from the fact that it will be an action-RPG in the style of Dark Souls. That's enough for us. State of Decay 2: HeartlandDescribed as the developer's biggest expansion yet, Heartland adds two new concurrent stories to State of Decay 2 as it returns players to the first game's Trumbull Valley. It is available to purchase and download now on Xbox One and Windows 10. The Outer WorldsObsidian has only recently joined the Xbox Game Studios line-up of development houses and its first game under the Microsoft umbrella will be The Outer Worlds. Although it hasn't really been confirmed, we expect the game to be an RPG with action elements, as that's what the developer is best at. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderAs well as show gameplay footage during its own livestream event, EA also revealed more on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order during the Xbox press conference. It'll be out in November. Dying Light 2We're huge fans of the original Dying Light and everything we've seen of Techland's follow-up so far has us very excited indeed. We'll have to wait until spring 2020 for it to arrive, but we're sure it will have been worth it. CrossfireXThe hugely popular free-to-play first-person shooter franchise is coming to console for the first time next year, with CrossfireX being exclusive to the Xbox One. Dragon Ball Z: KakarotThe Dragon Ball Z juggernaut thunders on with an all-new beat-em-up on the horizon. Go Goku! Wasteland 3InXile is back with a new post-apocalyptic, turn-based strategy RPG that will be able to be played in single-player or co-op. It will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Age of Empires II: Definitive EditionOne of the greatest strategy games of all time will be re-released in remastered format this fall, with 4K graphics for the first time and a whole stack of new content. It'll be Windows 10 PC only and available on Xbox Game Pass for PC. Borderlands 3We played Borderlands 3 at an event in LA in May, so know what to expect but a new trailer was shown during the Xbox conference. In addition, it was revealed that Borderlands: The Handsome Collection owners (it's now part of Xbox Game Pass) can download an all-new adventure for free now. Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary bridges the gap between Borderlands 2 and 3. Lego Star War: The Skywalker SagaA new Lego game is coming from Warner that offers a new take on the nine Star Wars movies (the three main trilogies). The platformer isn't just a remaster of the previous Lego Star Wars games - it promises hundreds of different characters and different levels throughout.
