Hey Google, Sonos now supports your Assistant in the UK too

UPDATE: Google Assistant is now available on Sonos in the UK.
[Google Assistant][2] has finally arrived on [Sonos][3], making the company the first to offer support for multiple voice assistants in the same sound system.
Google's voice assistant is available following a free software update. The update landed in the US on 14 May and as of 1 July 2019, it has now arrived in the UK. Other countries were due to follow in July, including the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, France and The Netherlands so if you don't have access to the Google Assistant setup yet, it is coming.
The [Sonos One][4] and [Sonos Beam][5] both have Google Assistant built in, offering direct access, but users with a Google Assistant-compatible device, like [Google Home][6], is able to control other Sonos speakers using Google Assistant too.
Users can ask Google Assistant to start a song, queue a TV show, control smart home devices, and ask for updates about their day, including calendar events and traffic delays, just as you can with Google Home.
Sonos already offers support for Amazon's Alexa on the Sonos One and Sonos Beam, as well as control through Alexa on [Amazon Echo][7] devices, but Google Assistant has been a long time coming.
With both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant now supported, owners of the Sonos One or Sonos Beam have a choice between which assistant they want to use, allowing them to switch between the two if they so wish. You'll have to pick between Google Assistant or Alexa - you can't have both setup at the same time - but you can switch between them, you'll just have to go through the setup process again.
