Samsung Galaxy Note 10 vs Note 10+: What's the rumoured difference?
Samsung is expected to announce [the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+][2] during its Unpacked event on 7 August, but which will be the right one for you?
We've compared the rumoured specifications for the Galaxy Note 10 against the Note 10+ to help you work out which one you should be waiting to buy.
## What's expected to be the same?
* Design
* Punch hole front camera
* Vertical rear camera arrangement
* Processor
* No 3.5mm headphone jack
* S Pen
* In-display fingerprint sensor
* Software
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are both expected to offer a similar design to each other, including a glass and metal body, minimal bezels, a centralised [punch hole front camera][3] and a vertical rear camera arrangement.
Both devices are expected to offer the same processor - [Qualcomm Snapdragon 855][4] or Exynos 9825 - and both are expected to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Other similarities will no doubt include a built-in S Pen on both devices, as well as an [in-display fingerprint sensor][5] and the same software experience.
## What's expected to be different between the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+?
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are expected to share several features and design attributes, rumour has it there will be plenty of differences too.
### Physical dimensions
* Note 10+ larger
Unsurprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are expected to differ in terms of physical size.
Exact measurements for both haven't been detailed in leaks as yet, but it's been suggested the Note 10+ won't be too much bigger than [the Note 9][6] so expect the standard Note 10 to be smaller.
### Display
* Note 10: 6.3-inch, Full HD+
* Note 10+: 6.8-inch, Quad HD+
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is rumoured to be coming with a 6.3-inch display, while the Note 10+ is expected to offer a 6.8-inch screen.
Both should be Super AMOLED panels and both are likely to [support HDR10+][7]. Resolutions are currently unknown, though rumours have suggested the Note 10 would offer a Full HD+ resolution, while the Note 10+ would offer a Quad HD+ resolution.
### RAM
* Note 10: 8GB
* Note 10+: 12GB
According to rumours, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will have 8GB of RAM on board, while the Note 10+ will have 12GB. Currently, it is not yet known if there will be multiple models for each variant though.
### Storage
* Note 10: 256GB, no microSD
* Note 10+: 256GB, microSD
Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are rumoured to be coming with 256GB of internal storage but only the Note 10+ is said to be coming with microSD support for storage expansion.
This seems like an odd move though so we aren't convinced this will be the case.
### Battery
* Note 10: 3500mAh
* Note 10+: 4300mAh
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is said to be coming with a 3500mAh battery capacity, like the Samsung Galaxy S10+. The Note 10+ meanwhile, is said to offer a 4300mAh battery.
It's also claimed both will offer 45W charging when plugged in and we'd expect both to offer [reverse wireless charging][8] too, or [Power Share][9] as Samsung calls it.
### 5G capabilities
* At least one model will be 5G enabled
At least one of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 models is expected to be [5G enabled][10] but it is currently unclear if this will be reserved for the Note 10+ model or if the Note 10 will also have a 5G capable model.
### Rear camera specifications
* Note 10: Triple rear (12MP + 12MP + 16MP)
* Note 10+: Quad rear (12MP + 12MP + 16MP + ToF)
Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are expected to offer a vertical [triple rear camera][11] system made up of standard (12 megapixel), ultra-wide (16 megapixel), and telephoto (12 megapixel) lenses.
The Note 10+ is also expected to offer a fourth [Time of Flight sensor][12] too however.
### Price
* Note 10: £899+?
* Note 10+: £1000+?
There will no doubt be a difference in price between the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, though prices have yet to be detailed in leaks.
The Galaxy Note 9 started at £899 so we'd expect the standard Note 10 to be similar. It wouldn't be too surprising to see the Note 10+ model hit the £1000 mark, like the Apple iPhone XS Max.
## Conclusion
Currently, this feature is based on speculation but it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ will offer a larger battery, more RAM, a larger display and a quad rear camera setup rather than triple compared to the standard Note 10.
The Note 10+ is also likely to be more expensive than the standard Note 10 however, and it will be larger so it might not end up being to everyone's taste, even if it offers more in specs department.
We will update this feature when the official details of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are revealed. For now, you can [visit our Galaxy Note 10 rumour round up][2] for all the latest.
